ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Union Built PC Corporation ("UBPC") manufactures its hardware products from parts
and components that are new or equivalent to new in accordance with
industry-standard practices. UBPC warrants that the hardware
products it manufactures will be free from defects in materials and
workmanship. The limited warranty term is one year beginning on the
date of invoice, as further described in the following text.
Damage due to shipping
the products to you is covered under this limited warranty.
Otherwise, this limited warranty does not cover damage due to
external causes, including accident, abuse, misuse, problems with
electrical power, servicing not authorized by UBPC, usage not in
accordance with product instructions, failure to perform required
preventive maintenance, and problems caused by use of parts and
components not supplied by UBPC.
This limited warranty
does not cover any items that are in one or more of the following
categories: software; external devices (except as specifically
noted); accessories or parts added to a UBPC system after the system
is shipped from UBPC; or accessories or parts that are not installed
in the UBPC factory. Monitors, keyboards, and mice are covered under
this limited warranty.
During the one-year
period beginning on the invoice date, UBPC will repair or replace
products returned to UBPC's facility. To request limited warranty
service, you must contact UBPC's Customer Technical Support within
the limited warranty period. If limited warranty service is
required, UBPC will issue a Return Material Authorization Number.
You must ship the products back to UBPC in their original or
equivalent packaging, prepay shipping charges, and insure the
shipment or accept the risk of loss or damage during shipment. UBPC
will ship the repaired or replacement products to you freight
prepaid if you use an address in the continental United States,
where applicable. Shipments to other locations will be made freight
NOTE: Before you
ship the product(s) to UBPC, back up the data on the hard-disk
drive(s) and any other storage device(s) in the product(s). Remove
any removable media, such as diskettes, CDs, or PC Cards. UBPC does
not accept liability for lost data or software.
UBPC owns all parts
removed from repaired products. UBPC uses new and reconditioned
parts made by various manufacturers in performing limited warranty
repairs and building replacement products. If UBPC repairs or
replaces a product, its limited warranty term is not extended.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY
GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS
THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE (OR JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION).
UBPC'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR MALFUNCTIONS AND DEFECTS IN HARDWARE IS
LIMITED TO REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT AS SET FORTH IN THIS LIMITED
WARRANTY STATEMENT. ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THE
PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF AND
CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,
ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD SET FORTH
ABOVE AND NO WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WILL APPLY
AFTER SUCH PERIOD. SOME STATES (OR JURISDICTIONS) DO NOT ALLOW
LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE
LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
UBPC DOES NOT ACCEPT
LIABILITY BEYOND THE REMEDIES SET FORTH IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY
STATEMENT OR LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES,
INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY LIABILITY FOR PRODUCTS NOT BEING
AVAILABLE FOR USE OR FOR LOST DATA OR SOFTWARE. SOME STATES (OR
JURISDICTIONS) DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF
INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSION OR
LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
1) Product that is in its original factory-sealed container may be
returned to Union Built PC within 30 days from invoice date for a
refund or exchange. (15% restocking fee applies to refunds)
2) Product that has been opened may be returned to Union Built PC
within 30 days of invoice date, although such returns will be
charged a 15% restocking fee. All products must be returned in a
re-saleable condition. Any manuals, cables etc. that are missing
will result in rejection of the return or an additional restocking
3) Most of the hardware components carry 1 year warranty (OEM and
RETAIL) unless specified. OEM CPUs carry 30 days warranty from the
date of purchase.
1) If defective, opened software is returnable within 30 days of
invoice date for exchange for the same software title only.
2) Unopened software may be returned to Union Built PC for refund or
exchange within 30 days of invoice date with no restocking fee.
3) Multiple software licenses (MLP's, MOLP's, MSOL's etc.), cannot
be returned for refund.
Returning Products to
Union Built PC
Before returning any product, a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)
number should be obtained by sending an email
firstname.lastname@example.org, or contacting Union Built PC from
HERE. RMA numbers
are valid for 14 days after the day of issuance. The RMA number(s)
must be prominently displayed only on the shipping label of boxes
containing returned goods. Please do not mark the boxes themselves. Any
products returned without an RMA number, incomplete and/or not in
resalable condition, or with an RMA number over 14 days old, may not
be properly processed and will increase the replacement period. Returned goods must be shipped freight prepaid in their
original boxes and packing material. A copy of your invoice should accompany all returned
products. Returned goods
should be freight insured by you. Product returned to you under
Warranty is shipped freight-prepaid by Union Built PC via UPS Ground or
another Union carrier at our discretion. Union Built PC will charge for
original shipping and handling and $15 labor fee if the Product
received for repair is non-defective.
